The Asgaya Farm: Artisanal Beers with Asturian Soul

A Story of Passion, Sustainability, and Flavor

Welcome to Asgaya Farm, an oasis of creativity and environmental awareness in the heart of Asturias. Founded in 2016 by Sheila and Andrés, this organic cooperative has become the first and only craft brewery in the region to produce 100% organic beers.

Andrés, a passionate expert in agroecological production, and Sheila, a social worker with a deep love for nature, brought this project to life with the firm conviction of creating a unique and environmentally-friendly product. From the beginning, their mission has been to carefully oversee every stage of the brewing process, from cultivating the ingredients to the final bottling, with the goal of offering consumers an exceptional beer experience.

The Asgaya story dates back to 2009, when Andrés began brewing craft beer as a complementary activity on his "El Rincón de los Cerezos" farm in Extremadura. It was there that his dream of taking his passion for beer to a professional level was born. When his family grew and they moved to Asturias, they found the perfect opportunity to make this aspiration a reality.

Today, Asgaya is a family business that prides itself on its sustainable and artisanal approach. All the ingredients used, from the malt and hops to the crystal-clear water of the region, are rigorously selected from local organic producers. The brewing process, from milling the malt to manual bottling, is carried out with the utmost care and attention to detail.

Craft Beers that Awaken the Senses

The Asgaya range of beers is a reflection of the passion and commitment of its creators. Each style has been carefully developed to provide a unique and memorable tasting experience.

Blonde Pilsner

A clear and bright beer, with a prominent but not extreme hop flavor. Its fruity and clean aroma, along with an interesting aftertaste, make it a smooth and refreshing option, ideal for accompanying meals or enjoying after an activity. Brewed with pilsner malt, carapils, and a touch of wheat.

Amber Ale Undergrao

A copper-colored beer inspired by the Belgian Amber Ale, but with its own recipe created in Grao. It contains four different malts with a pale ale base and a touch of malts that give it a sweet and fruity flavor. Medium-bodied and intense amber in color.

India Pale Ale (IPA)

This beer derives from the high-fermentation English Pale Ales. It emerged in the 18th century to overcome the challenge of preservation during the long journeys to India. With higher levels of alcohol and hops, this delight presents citrus aromas and an intense hoppy character that captivates IPA lovers.

Brown Porter

A dark English-style beer, with a toasted malt aroma that evokes coffee. It presents flavors of chocolate and caramel, making it an ideal option for winter days. A perfect pairing with strong cheeses.

In addition to these four beers that are produced year-round, Asgaya also launches seasonal special editions, such as NEIPAs, Double IPAs, Belgian Dubbels, and Rauchbiers, which captivate the most discerning palates.

Caring for the Planet, Caring for Your Beer

At Asgaya, the commitment to sustainability and environmental protection is a fundamental pillar. From the organic certification of COPAE to the acquisition of raw materials from local producers, every step of the process is designed to minimize the environmental impact.

The beer is brewed in an artisanal way, with a focus on preserving natural ingredients and respecting production times. From milling the malt in a small mill to manual bottling, each stage is carried out with the utmost care and attention.

But what most excites Sheila and Andrés is seeing the expression of pleasure on the faces of consumers every time they try one of their beers. They know that their work has been worth it when they manage to transport palates to a world of unique flavors, crafted with the heart and conscience of those who care about the planet.

Welcome to Asgaya Farm, where the passion for craft beer is combined with environmental responsibility to create a truly exceptional beer experience.
