Embutidos El Pedregal: Preserving the Artisanal Tradition of Asturias

Family Roots and Charcuterie Legacy

Embutidos El Pedregal has its origins in a butcher's shop founded in the 1950s by Pilar and Aquilino. In a time of low meat consumption, this visionary couple decided to start producing sausages following the traditional recipes and techniques of the Asturias region.

With effort and dedication, the company grew little by little. In the 1980s, with the help of the founders' children, Embutidos El Pedregal consolidated and began to market its products regionally. This industry, along with other charcuterie makers in the municipality of Bimenes, introduced a new way of life in this mining area, generating new jobs and a more promising future for its inhabitants.

Living Tradition Across Generations

Currently, Javier (son of the founders) and his wife Agustina, along with their three sons Isaac, José María, and Iván, continue the Embutidos El Pedregal tradition with the same care and passion as the first day. They keep alive the artisanal essence and the family legacy that has defined this company for more than 70 years.

Authentic Products from Bimenes

The range of sausages and meat products from Embutidos El Pedregal reflects the gastronomic richness of Asturias. From the traditional chorizo and morcilla to local specialties, each of their products is made with the highest quality raw materials and following recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.
