Welcome to enBoscados: Where Nature is the Classroom

Our History and Philosophy

enBoscados is an educational, social, and cultural initiative with deep roots in Nature. Founded in 2019 by Marta and Naomi, two passionate educators with a shared vision of reconnecting people, especially the younger generation, with the natural world.

Inspired by the Forest School methodology, which has its origins in Scandinavia, Germany, and the United Kingdom, enBoscados offers a wide range of activities and programs designed to foster a lasting connection with Nature. From outdoor play groups to survival skills workshops, each of our offerings is based on the principle that Nature is the best teacher.

Our Activities and Programs

At enBoscados, we firmly believe that Nature has the power to transform lives. Through our activities, we seek to awaken the curiosity, creativity, and wonder of children, youth, and adults, guiding them on a journey of rediscovery and learning.

Some of our key offerings include:

  • Nature Play Groups: Weekly sessions where participants can explore, play, and connect with the natural environment.
  • Forest School Workshops and Camps: Immersive Nature programs that develop practical, social, and emotional skills.
  • Educator Training: Courses and workshops that equip teachers and professionals to implement the Forest School methodology.
  • Seasonal Celebrations: Family events that honor the cycles of Nature and foster community connection.

Our Sustainability Philosophy

At enBoscados, sustainability is a fundamental pillar of our vision and actions. We strive to be a model of good environmental practices, using recycled and natural materials whenever possible, and promoting respect and care for the environment in all our activities.

Furthermore, we work closely with local and regional organizations to support conservation and environmental education initiatives. Our goal is to inspire communities to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle and to value the natural wealth that surrounds us.

Our Community and Local Culture

enBoscados is deeply rooted in the culture and landscape of Cantabria, a region known for its impressive mountains, forests, and rivers. Our activities take place in carefully selected natural settings, where participants can connect with the local history, traditions, and biodiversity.

In addition to our programs, we also organize special events that celebrate the festivals and traditions of the region, such as the Summer Solstice and Samaín. These celebrations allow us to honor the cycles of Nature and strengthen the bonds within our community.

We are proud to be part of a broader network of Nature-based education projects in Spain and around the world. We mutually inspire each other and work together to spread the knowledge and practice of Forest School, with the aim of creating a more sustainable and humane world.
