El Trasgu la Fronda is a family-run farm school at La Güariza, in Villoria, in the municipality of Laviana (Asturias). Besides farm visits, it runs courses, workshops and rural and cultural experiences for adults, children and families, focused on nature, Asturian traditions and sustainable living. The farm is home to sheep, goats, hens, ducks and chicks, and the work follows the seasons, from lambing to cherries, apples and chestnuts.
The Granjero por un día programme lets families feed the animals and walk through the vegetable garden, and there are also private visits, school programmes, birthday parties and rural summer camps. The calendar includes autumn amagüestu chestnut gatherings, cider making, the theatrical walk La Aldea Perdida and a visit to a llagar with a natural cider tasting. The grounds also serve as a picnic area.
