Granja Escuela Ría del Eo is a farm school in Piñera, in the municipality of Castropol, Asturias, running camps and nature stays for children and young people. Its almost flat, fenced grounds hold cabins and rooms for participants, a kitchen and dining room, a workshop building, play and sports areas and a farm area with a stable, riding arenas, a vegetable garden and a greenhouse.
It hosts school groups on class trips, organises visits and birthday parties and, above all, summer camps for children and teenagers, including day camps, surf camps and multi-adventure camps. Activities include time with the animals, horse riding, canoeing, surfing and bodyboarding, a zip line, go-karting, paintball and excursions. The team brings together youth leaders and specialists in riding, farming and cooking, plus staff who look after the animals.
