Welcome to Tía Nora Farm: An Oasis of Sustainability and Connection with Nature
History and Philosophy of the Farm
More than 15 years ago, Lucía and Pedro, together with their 6 children, decided to leave the city to live in the countryside and create Tía Nora Farm. Their goal was to turn this 7-hectare property, located 12 km north of San Juan, into a model of a self-sufficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly organic farm.
Since then, they have worked tirelessly to achieve this dream. In 2013, the farm obtained organic certification for all its plant production from the International Agri-Food Organization (OIA), becoming the first certified organic farm with biodiversity in Argentina.
Lucía and Pedro's philosophy is based on environmental care, agroecology, and permaculture. They seek to convey these principles to children, youth, and adults who visit them, through educational workshops and the experience of living in the countryside.

Volunteering and Collaboration
One of the fundamental pillars of Tía Nora Farm is the exchange of knowledge and experiences with volunteers from around the world. Since 2009, they have hosted more than 300 volunteers, mostly young people who want to know another side of Argentina.
Volunteers stay and share daily life on the farm, working approximately 6 hours a day, 6 days a week. In return, they receive accommodation and food. It is a mutual learning experience, where volunteers can learn about agroecology and permaculture, while Lucía, Pedro, and their family also benefit from the knowledge they contribute.
Currently, the farm is in the final stage of constructing new bathrooms to improve the experience of visitors, especially those with disabilities. To complete this project, they are requesting the community's collaboration through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.
