Welcome to Casa Eutimio: An oasis of tranquility in the heart of Green Spain
Located in the charming fishing village of Lastres, Asturias
Nestled in a privileged natural setting, where the sea and the mountains blend in perfect harmony, stands Casa Eutimio, an oasis of tranquility and rest. This iconic establishment, dating back to the 20th century, has witnessed generations of fishermen, farmers, and travelers who have enjoyed its warm hospitality and exquisite cuisine.
A history of tradition and flavor
The origins of Casa Eutimio date back to 1964, when the young entrepreneur Rafael Eutimio Busta Otero and his wife Aida Rosales Cambiella decided to open a small restaurant facing the fishing port of Lastres. With their passion for traditional Asturian cuisine and their commitment to quality, the "Miramar" Restaurant quickly won the affection and loyalty of locals and visitors.
In 2008, the torch was passed to the next generation, when Rafael and Aida's children, María and Rafael, took over the management of the establishment. They have continued the family tradition, perfecting the classic dishes and adding new creations that pay homage to the flavors of the region.
A charming hotel in an idyllic setting
In addition to the legendary restaurant, Casa Eutimio houses a cozy hotel with a traditional Asturian style. The 10 rooms, including 6 doubles, 2 singles, and 2 junior suites, offer guests a restful experience and a connection with nature.
Each room has a private bathroom, heating, television, Wi-Fi, and ambient music, ensuring maximum comfort. But the most remarkable feature is the panoramic views of the fishing port and the imposing Sierra del Sueve, which can be enjoyed from the spacious terraces and the social lounge.
A seafood menu that pays tribute to tradition
At the Eutimio Restaurant, cuisine is an art that has been perfected over decades. Its menu is a tribute to the men and women of the sea, who for centuries have extracted the most exquisite fruits of the Cantabrian Sea.
Iconic dishes such as Bream à la espalda, Hake Eutimio style, or the award-winning "Cachopos" are combined with innovative creations, such as the monkfish, mushroom, and shrimp salad. Additionally, the menu is complemented by traditional Asturian dishes, such as Fabada and Pote, recipes from Aida's grandmother.
To finish, the homemade desserts, such as the cider cake, the whiskey cream, or the traditional rice pudding, are the perfect finale to a unique gastronomic experience.
