Founded by the renowned trainer Penny Kinnally, our farm has a rich history of producing top-tier show horses and riders. With a wealth of experience working alongside industry legends like Ken Nordstrom, Nick and Kost Karazissis, and Nona Garson, Penny has honed her craft to perfection.

Lessons and Training: Tailored to Your Needs

At Misfit Farm, we understand that every rider is unique, which is why we offer personalized training programs to help you reach your full potential. For students who bring their own horses, our monthly "Training Fee" includes 12 lessons, training rides, turnout, and grooming - all the essentials to keep your equine partner in top shape.

For those without a horse, we have a carefully curated selection of lesson horses available for both private and group sessions. The journey begins with a private evaluation lesson, where our expert trainers assess your skills and place you in the appropriate program.

Lease and Sale Horses: Finding Your Perfect Match

In addition to our training services, Misfit Farm is proud to offer a range of lease and sale horses to suit every rider's needs. Currently available for in-house lease is Cyril Proud Bottom, a 17-year-old Holsteiner gelding who is excelling in the USHJA Derbies and the 2'6" divisions.

For those seeking a new partner, we have Living Colours, a 5-year-old KWPN gelding recently imported from Europe. This up-and-coming star is eligible for the Baby Greens and boasts an exceptional movement and jump.

Misfit Farm's competitive spirit shines bright as we attend numerous prestigious horse shows throughout the year. From the iconic Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, Florida, to the World Equestrian Center in Ohio and Ocala, our riders and horses have consistently proven their mettle against the best in the industry.

Other notable show venues on our calendar include HITS Saugerties, Monmouth County, Gardnertown Farm, Sussex County Fair, Old Salem, Fairfield, Saratoga, Vermont, Kentucky, Capital Challenge, Washington International Horse Show (WIHS), National Horse Show, and Harrisburg.
