Located in a small native forest in Belmonte de Miranda, in the heart of Asturias, we are passionately dedicated to the sustainable and respectful cultivation of shiitake, that magnificent Japanese mushroom with an intense flavor and beneficial properties for health.

A few years ago, tired of life in the big city, we decided to abandon everything to pursue a dream: to live in harmony with nature and devote ourselves to what truly inspires us. This is how Shiit-Astur was born, a family project that has allowed us to explore the wonders of this ancient mushroom and share them with the world.

Our Commitment to Sustainability and Quality

At Shiit-Astur, we cultivate our mushrooms in a traditional way, caring for and respecting the environment. We use oak and chestnut logs from our own forest, inoculated with high-quality mycelium. The entire process is carried out in a handcrafted manner, from the selection of the substrates to the final packaging of our products.

Our farm is certified as 100% organic, with the "Alimentos del Paraíso" (Paradise Foods) seal. We focus on local ingredients, avoiding any type of additive or preservative. Each of our products, whether fresh mushrooms, stuffed pasta, or exquisite preserves, bears the seal of Asturian quality and authenticity.

Our History and Recognitions

Our adventure began in early 2019, when we decided to leave behind city life and embark on this project full of enthusiasm and effort. Since then, we have walked a path full of challenges and joys, positioning ourselves as a reference in the cultivation and production of shiitake-based products.

Our work has been recognized nationally, being awarded prizes such as the "Rural Entrepreneur Recognition" from AMCA, the "Third Prize in the Excellence Awards for Innovation for Rural Women" or the "Yo Soy Rural (I Am Rural) Recognition" from READER. Additionally, we have been finalists in the Talenta Awards and winners of the ENTAMA EDP Awards.
