Fructuoso Costales, the original founder, purchased the land upon which the mill stands from a local landowner family, for whom he had previously worked. Starting with a single warehouse and a traditional apple press, the operation has since expanded to encompass a diverse array of facilities, including:

  • 4 traditional cider presses for crushing the apples
  • A warehouse with 4 wooden barrels, perfect for hosting "espichas" (cider-tasting events)
  • A cellar housing 14 wooden barrels
  • A modern cellar with 17 stainless steel tanks equipped with cooling systems for fermentation and storage

This evolution has allowed the Frutos Cider Mill to adapt to the changing demands of the market, while maintaining the time-honored techniques that define Asturian cider.
